Due to my language proficiency in Japanese and English, I have received several opportunities to work as a translator/interpreter in the past. The scope of work that I have done range from translation of text to consecutive live interpretation.

For my work at Mediacorp, I translated Japanese to English footage for interview clips broadcasted on various Mediacorp television programs including Channel 8's "Rites of Motherhood 新生之旅", Channel News Asia’s award winning programme “Get Rea!” and "Conversation With" (please see the left gallery for reference). My role was to translate the footage, and review the subtitles in terms of translation accuracy and timing.

 

In addition, I have gained experience in Chara Expo 2017 and World Snack Fair 2017 as a dual language emcee through live translation of interviews with event guests and panel discussions on novel game development.
